By popular demand, and bigger than ever to celebrate the 25 year anniversary of our steam railway, Days of Steam is back! Timed to celebrate the Father’s Day weekend, we will be hosting a busy weekend of vintage rail, steam power and family fun activities on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June.
Our famed narrow gauge steam railway will be in operation throughout the weekend, along with visiting working miniature traction engines which will be making their way around the gardens – a real treat for steam fans of all ages.
We are very excited to announce that we have not one but two visiting engines at this year’s event. From Statfold Barn Railway, in Staffordshire, we will be joined by Carol Ann, a powerful loco built by Exmoor Steam Railway. We will also be joined by Daisy the diesel, from Littlehampton Miniature Railway, who bears a striking resemblance to Toby the Tram from Thomas the Tank Engine!
The event will also feature a wide range of model railway layouts across different scales, gauges and eras, and scaled-down model locomotives, in the Railway Engine Shed.
Free with gardens admission or membership. And don’t forget that we are offering dads half price gardens admission on Sunday 21st June, to celebrate Father’s Day.
