Explore Exbury

More than 100 years in the making, Exbury offers a wealth of features to delight garden and nature lovers alike.

Spring

Spring is a breathtaking spectacle here at Exbury, with an array of plants stepping forward into the spotlight.

Our extensive camellia collection, on the approach to the Connoisseur’s Garden and along not one but two Camellia Walks, is ablaze with a range of vibrant shades and Exbury’s world-famous azaleas and rhododendrons join the performance, filling the gardens with colour at every turn.

Exbury also boasts a remarkable range of magnolias, and a stunning show of spring bulbs in Daffodil Meadow and the River of Gold.

Summer

In summer, our 200 acres offer the best of both worlds, from winding woodland paths and shady trails to sunny meadows and walks along the glimmering Beaulieu River.

Don’t miss our collection of hydrangeas, and the Iris, Herbaceous, Sundial and Centenary Gardens all at their best, in bloom with a heady mix of perennials and exotic flowers.

Autumn

In autumn, the changing leaves provide a palette of stunning reds, oranges and yellows throughout the gardens, courtesy of large numbers of nyssas and acers.

Winter

In winter, Exbury transforms into a winter wonderland for two festive weekends. Join us for our Christmas Fair, featuring a wide range of local producers offering all manner of wonderful gift ideas; meet Father Christmas, climb aboard our Festive Express Steam Railway experience to help the elves prevent another Christmas catastrophe; and, of course, enjoy the gardens at their wintery best.
