    Exbury Ghost Train Testimoanials

“Just a short note to say thank you for what was a hugely enjoyable and entertaining day yesterday. I thought the ghost train experience was exceptionally well thought through and presented. It must have taken you ages to write that script – and to think of all those wonderfully corny one liners!” Mr R G, Portsmouth

“We had a wonderful time yesterday, we were so pleased we came. What a lot of effort you had all put in. I really laughed at all the ghoulish gags. It was just great.” Mrs C A, New Forest

“Just to let you know what a fantastic time we had when we visited your Gardens on Saturday. We had never been on the train before and we really enjoyed ourselves. Your staff were excellent and the whole experience was brilliant. My daughter took her friend along and both went dressed as witches, and of course the adults were amused with the many jokes along the way. We will definitely be back next year and tell our friends.”
    S R, Southampton

“I am writing to thank all those involved with the Ghost Train event. We came today (5 adults, 10 children, ages 8 months – 5 years) – we all had a wonderful time and your staff were wonderful. They all put in so much effort and fun into the whole day. They even looked like they were enjoying themselves. You gave us a day to remember and we will be back with our full complement (10 adults and 28 children) next year and at Christmas.”

    Exbury Ghost Train Helpful Information

The following information will help you make the most of your visit to Exbury:

    1. Please note the time of your train ride on your ticket, and be at the station at least 15 mins before the shown departure time. The Ghost Train “Phantomime” will commence on the platform as visitors board the train.
    2. The Ghost Train “Phantomime” will last approx. 30 mins.
    3. The Ghost Train will enter a dark tunnel on the out-bound and in-bound trip, where there will be low-level Halloween lighting and sound effects.
    4. Halloween characters will be seen from the train in various areas close to the track.
    5. The train will stop for approx. 5 mins at Exbury North Station. Anyone wishing to leave the train and walk back to Exbury Central Station, or explore the American Gardens, may alight the train here.
    6. The Ghost Train is suitable for children of all ages. There are werewolves, cyclops, ghost pirates and scarecrows (together with other ghoulish characters en route) and lots of visual Halloween gags. However, for most visitors, the scariest thing about the Ghost Train are the jokes told by the hosts Napoleon Bone-aparte the Skeleton, and Batty the Vampire!
    7. Everyone wearing fancy dress will receive a free goody bag on boarding the train. The goody bags typically consist of a bag of seeds; some awful Halloween jokes; a Halloween balloon; plastic toy; Halloween chocolate or candy. Adults should take responsibility for ensuring contents are suitable for children under their supervision.
    8. Mr Eddy’s Tea Room will be offering a Halloween menu (see below)
    9. There will be a special “Spooky Trail” to follow around the Gardens and Exbury’s nerine collection will be displayed in the Five Arrows Gallery until Sunday 2nd November.
